A WORD FROM THE PRESIDENT
STATEMENT ON FAF
The Franchisor Association of Florida is a non-profit organization established to provide a forum for franchise systems in the State of Florida. Meetings, which are held quarterly, cover a wide array of subjects salient to the commonality of the group. Guest speakers are selected based on their ability to contribute to the advancement of Franchisor operations and to promote better vendor relationships within Florida’s vast franchisor community. Common interest, common purchasing, common problems and common needs all factor into the desirability of sharing a base of unity through membership in the association.
Meeting agendas and topics are established throughout each quarter based on member request. Quarterly Forums normally include a roundtable discussion period which enables a sharing of ideas and information heretofore unavailable to those engaged in the business of franchising.
In addition to the quarterly meetings, the association also sponsors periodic Franchise Fairs. These mini trade shows create an economical venue for Florida-based franchise organizations to reach potential buyers. Participation is voluntary and promotional costs are shared equally among the attending group.
The FAF also recognizes its obligation as an educational resource and a voice for Florida’s Franchise Industry. With this in mind, the association welcomes the opportunity to promote the benefits of franchise ownership and to provide insight and pro bono advice into the complexities involved in creating and maintaining good franchise organizations.
